The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) is accepting proposals for the Proposition 64 Public Health & Safety (Prop 64) Grant Program, Cohort 3.
Details:
This RFP makes available $150 million through a competitive process for projects that address local impacts due to the legalization of cannabis in California. Activities and strategies must fall within four Project Purpose Areas (PPAs):
- Youth Development/Youth Prevention and Intervention;
- Public Health;
- Public Safety; and
- Environmental Impacts.
The Board of State and Community Corrections Eligibility Criteria:
- Eligible applicants for the Prop 64 PH&S Grant Program are local governments (i.e., Counties, Cities, and City/County) in California that do not ban both indoor and outdoor commercial cannabis cultivation, or retail sale of cannabis or cannabis products. The RFP provides additional information concerning the definition of “ban cultivation” and “ban retail sale.”
- In addition, counties and cities that received prior Prop 64 PH&S Grant Program awards (Cohort 1 and Cohort 2) are eligible for funding through this RFP.

- Step 2: Download and complete the following required attachments. You will be prompted to upload these to the BSCC-Submittable Application prior to submission.
