Quadratec announces its ‘Energize the Environment’ grant program

Quadratec is accepting submissions for its “Energize the Environment” grant program, which will give a single grant of $3,500 to a person or group working on a project intended to improve the environment in their neighborhood.

Beginning this year, we are asking you – or your organization – to share with us why you think you’d be a wonderful fit for our grant program. We are taking our enthusiasm for all things environmental and doing it this way. We are providing a total of two $3,500 environmental grants every year, one in the spring and one in the fall, to an individual or group that is actively working on a project or program that will improve the environment.

Here are a few instances:

  • Projects constructing or restoring trails
  • Park adornment activities
  • Initiatives to prevent littering
  • Missions for Earth study
  • Activities for Sustainable Land Management
  • Environmental education initiatives in the community
  • Educational engagement activities for youth

Individuals or organizations interested in applying should send a 1000–1600 word essay to grants@quadratec.com that describes themselves and their organization, what motivates and inspires them, what they hope to achieve, and how they intend to use our grant.

For consideration for the fall grant, all essays must be received by 11:59 p.m. EST on June 30 and by 11:59 p.m. EST on October 30 to be considered for the spring grant. Following the close of the application period for each grant, the winners will be contacted within 20 days.

A one-time payment of $3,500 will be made to the recipient or organization, to be used solely for the specified purpose, per person or group for just that year.  Grant money cannot be renewed or transferred to other people or organizations. However, when a full calendar year has passed, prior recipients may submit a fresh award application.
